Union Cemetery Restoration

Humboldt, Iowa   1997

Worked on 57 items at the cemetery, powerwashing, resetting and resealling.

1- 5 Before.  Found 5 Shultz baby markers completely sunken into ground.   Dug them up, cleaned and reset in cement, in line with row up to full height.   1- 5 After.

  6 Before.  Found marble upright laying down in sod,  broken in two pieces.   Dug up, powerwashed, epoxied pieces together and patched with patching cement.   Reset in a new cement foundation.   6 After.

7 Before.  Found upright marble marker laying flush in ground.   Dug up, powerwashed and reset in cement foundation.   7  After.

8 - 9 Before.   Found two markers flush in ground.   Dug them out,  cleaned.   Reset little upright in a cement foundation and bevel marker up to full height on cement foundation.
