"Hello Shadric, Thank you so much for "Dogtown Blues"....arrived safe last Friday. I'm impressed with your qualities in making such a fantastic blues album! You must be an allround talent....really like your kind of doing the blues....sounds very naturally....this music lives !!! My favorite titles are 2, 4, 7, 9, and 10....will be airing on my show. I'm sure the listeners will love it too. Thanks again"
Dear Shadric, It has been a real honor for me to receive your limited edition CD...I have selected tracks 1,2, and 7 to be broadcast...I am a James Talley fan ( Do you know him? ) and it is funny to hear how a couple of songs sound like his music....even your voices are quite the same....I sincerely like your music....
Hi Shadric, Thanks so much for the CD version of Dogtown Blues, arrived today. Will be spinning Back Off And Cool Down next Monday ( back-to-back with Leon Redbone's version of Diamonds Don't Mean A Thing ). I've only played this song once from off the old tape version of the album. -- I've played The Wine Is Old at least three times. I've also played Sister Strange once. But cassette tapes are not really catered for in radio studios these days, and they don't sound anywhere near as good as CD when broadcast. My favorite song from this set is still Mixed Up On You, followed by I Go Crazy. ( Guess you can tell that I've written some unusually-structured songs myself! )
Hi Shadric, Hope this note finds you fit and well. Here's a copy of this week's MAKE MINE COUNTRY playlist - this week I played Dogtown Summer. This is a very bluesy number and I didn't think I would get away with playing it in my program cause my listeners are real traditional country fans, but would you believe I got a call from one listener saying she just loved it, so I guess some country fans are also blues fans - you never can tell, huh? Have a beautiful weekend. Cheers.
